When I Started
I didn't exactly know what I was doing. Buy low, sell higher! Find a place where people can't get the thing they need for a reasonable price. I first became an Amazon reseller in 2014; that's when I began to source products!
I've sourced anything from kitchen accessories to power tools, and sometimes there are great opportunities to provide to gaps in the market, but the nature of the work is that these gaps don't last. Matching inventory with demand is something businesses spend millions of dollars analyzing and exacting, and the best opportunities in my space come from their missed calls.
After online shopping saw a major spike in 2020, I began to analyze all sorts of new products. I had a husband working from home who had a number of print-based skills, and I just happened to trip over a new space where I could do more than distribute someone else's product.
What if I commissioned you for an illustration and package design?
I'm not an illustrator or a designer, but I knew what I wanted from our products. I knew the mark I wanted to establish, and I asked my in-home designer if he was up to working toward my vision for a brand of nostalgic celebration.

Our first Product
under the RareRETRO mark, The American Century: Part One, explores the first five decades of the 1900s in fashion, architecture, aviation, and modern convenience. Artwork for its sister puzzle is currently being finalized, and side-by-side, the two 1000-piece puzzles will constitute one continuous image celebrating all ten decades of the 20th century.
